Spay & Neuter – You Can Help Stamp Out Pet Overpopulation!

Here is how, urge the U S. Postal Service to issue a commemorative stamp advocating spaying and neutering.
The pet overpopulation stamp would raise public awareness about the role spaying and neutering play in eliminating the suffering endured by our country’s unwanted pet population.

The average U.S. Commemorative Postage Stamp release is between 80 and 100 million. The proposed stamp design would read “Spay Or Neuter- Save A Life”. Eighty million stamps with this message would create public awareness and spread the word about the pet overpopulation crisis. An estimated 8 million dogs and cats are euthanized in shelters each year. It is estimated to cost the nations tax payers 2 million dollars to catch, house, euthanize and dispose of to issue a commemorative postage stamp these animals.

Please write to the U.S. Postmaster General to approve the proposed stamp. Write to: William Henderson, Postmaster General % CSAC, U.S. Postal Service, 475 L’Enfant Plaza, SW, Room 4474E, Washington, DC 20260-2437.
