My golden has never been happier at a boarding facility. He was a nervous rescue who was afraid of crates. The large "suites" that the have were perfect for him. He loved the social playtime with the rest of his new firends. it is unfortunate for the other reviewer that their dog got k9 cough, but quite honestly it is an inherent risk of any social environment your dog is in. I have seen many boarding facilties and no facility is cleaner. My dog will definitely be back.

Beautiful space but my small dog came home with Kennel cough even though she had been vaccinated. Won't go back.

best boarding facilities I've seen in the area. Very professional, we also had or minpin trained there. We drive 45 minutes to go there. They have a day care program too, which helps to introduce your dog to the place. They have cameras, I just wish they had them hooked to the internet.

This resort is exactly that, a resort, not a 'kennel'. It's an escape for my dear furry baby when I can't be there for her. The facilities are kept in excellent condition and are clean and calming. The resort doesn't smell like a kennel. The staff is not only professional, but extremely caring and empathetic to the needs of the pets and the pet owners, even taking the time to get to know each pet by name! <3 Hands down, the best care I've found in the Washington, DC area.

If you love your pets like we do you will not find a better place anywhere to vacation your pets. Our two golden's can't wait to get out of the car once we start up the driveway. Our two girls are spoiled at home and when they go to their Resort. Once you've had your pet stay at the Resort they will tell you what they thought...you will know they loved it.

This place is great! I found this facility after my horrible experience with Dogwood Acres. I must say that the accomodations are fabulous. When I pick up my dog she is healthy and happy and I have peace of mind that she is in good hands when I go on vacation or out of town for business.

This is what drew me to them in the first place--$46, no hidden fees, 3 play times, bathroom breaks, good food, etc. And they deliver this really well. I absolutely can't complain about the service and treatment; my dog is always happy here. But they charge you for a full day when you drop off (no matter what time you drop off), and a full day when you pick up (no matter what time you pick up). Examples: Last time I used them, I was out of town for only 2 days, Saturday and Sunday. They didn't have early enough drop-off times on Saturday, so I had to drop him off Friday night at 7pm (their latest drop-off time, the day before I needed it). They didn't have early enough pick-up times on Sunday, so I had to pick him up early Monday morning (around 8am). Unacceptable. I complained to them last time about this, and all I got was further explanation that Friday would be counted as a full day and Monday would be counted as a full day. I was in a bind, though, so I had to go through with it. No mercy was given. I just called them again for a single night stay--I'm going to be out of the house for a total of 15-16 hours, and due to their drop-off/pick-up times (on WEEKENDS, no less), he would have to stay 26 hours. The charge would be $46*2=$92. Unacceptable again! This time I'm making other arrangements. As happy as I am with the quality of the facilities, the kindness of the staff, and the happiness of my dog when he stays there, from now on I refuse to use this place. I am officially a lost repeat-customer. I'll just continue my slog to find a reasonable kennel that offers the same quality service that Perfect Pet Resort offers, but doesn't maintain this unfair practice. And I will be totally unforgiving in my communications with my vet, my reviews online, my conversations at the dog park, and with my countless pet-owning friends. That is, unless the management of this place decides to change this policy. Sorry guys! You all seem very nice, but this is unacceptable!

We've used this place a number of times for our Border Terrier. She always seemed to enjoy herself and seemed pleased to arrive. The people are very nice.

We, mainly Brutus, love it. It is conveniently located just off the highway. The staff is plentiful, professional, caring and kind. They give him alot of playtime and the dogs are always in a playful manner. I almost feel that Brutus is better cared for there than at home however as you can see in the picture I think he gets better naps at home.

My golden goes to the Perfect Pet Resort two times each week.  I love that I can pre-pay for daycare so that drop off and pick up is seamless.  The staff is wonderful...friendly to pet and pet owner.  Soothing music keeps the dogs calmed after playtime.  Anxiety or stress is a non-issue.  I feel so good that Bella looks forward to coming here each week.

The Perfect Pet Resort is pricey but my dog loves it.  The first time he stayed there, I had to practically pry him away and that's always a good sign.  If he's happy and healthy when I pick him up, then I'M happy. So far so good!

This place really is as good as it gets! These people love animals, and they will take care of your dog as if it's their own.  Every time Max goes there he loves it! He goes on Nature walks... Has extra play time, and he love his baths they give him.  He sometimes get dry skin but that baths they give him clears it right up! The staff is very professional and make you feel at ease when leaving your furry companion with them for a few days.

I don't normally take the time to post reviews for local services but knowing how difficult it can be to find a good pet boarding/kennel facility, I wanted to post this for the benefit of all dog/pet owners in the DC area. I checked my dog into Perfect Pet Resort (they don't like being called a kennel) for 8 days this winter. I've tried several boarding facilities in the DC/VA/MD area and this impressed me by far more than any others. It was secluded enough to be quiet, had incredibly clean facilities, including the dog and cat quarters/rooms and play areas. The cats were able to roam freely at times within a large area. There were larger suites for dogs that included couches, pillows and a lot of space. Surprisingly, the interior of the resort was rather calm/relaxed which is usually not the case in a kennel. The pet cages which are in plain view from the front desk are actually not cages at all but glass-front sizable spaces (even for small dogs). The grounds are well manicured and play areas a good size. The staff were very friendly and responsive to my calls before and during the week my dog was with them. When I picked my dog up, she was as happy to be up front and play with the staff, particularly the manager, as she was to see me. She usually just bolts to the front door. Based on what I saw, I highly recommend the resort.

Perfect Pet is amazing.  My dog gets to go here once/week for doggie day care and can't get enough.  It's like going to the dog park, only better! The staff is professional and courteous, the facility is spotless, the landscaping is well tended to, and most importantly, my dog LOVES it!

This is da best!!! They have dog a massages, nature walks, play time, a room with a view, bath, etc... the are very clean and friendly.... u def dont have to worry bout ur dog being stuff n a nasty cage with no light and no personal contact for week...

that place is great!!!! 5 stars and my dog loves it there!!! he jumps and waggs his tail every time we get there!!!
